Synergy 2010: The 4th Annual Synergy Conference held on September

fixture for institutions and academics working the 'Canada India education corridor'.

Synergy 2009: To be able to have that much power in one place and
have virtually every stake holder present who may have value to add in Canada's
'Internationalization' process was amazing and we are eternally grateful
to those that generously lent their time, prepared presentations and made an effort
to ensure a hugely successful event. As the organizer of this 'independently
funded and user supported' event, the collection of such education icons and
giants in one room is testament to the fact that education is truly a lynch pin,
has reached a boiling point and the time to act is now. A clarion call has been
made and various 'Synergy' speakers implored us to do more and it is up
to us to accept their challenge. Synergy 2009 had over 220 education experts in
attendance and featured 8 sponsors and was a stunning success. More...
Synergy 2008: There were plenty of power packed sessions that focused
on institutions currently operating in India, their experiences and the Q&A

discussion was stimulating with key questions addressed by VPs from reputed Colleges
and Universities. Synergy 2008 had over 120 delegates in attendance, including many
who traveled from India to meet key stake holders from Canada. More...

Ed-Mission 2010: Following the spectacular success of the inaugural
“Ed-Mission" to India in November 2008, ICE, in collaboration with the Indo-Canada
Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) and the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC) brought
a high-level education delegation to key cities in India in January 2010, which
met key players within the Indian Government, Chief Ministers, Ministries of Education,
Chambers of Commerce, business associations and key education institutions to explore
opportunities in the burgeoning Canada-India education corridor to 'Internationalize'
Canadian education. More...
Ed-Mission 2008: The idea behind the mission was to explore opportunities
in the burgeoning Canada-India education corridor & meet key stake holders.
Profile building was also a key element as was the push toward 'branding'
Canada in India. This event, in partnership with DFAIT and FICCI was held in New
Delhi in November 2008. More...
Recruiting Events
unFAIR (2010): Based on principles of strategic and penetrated
marketing, the 'unFAIR' concept is exactly what a typical student recruiting
fair is NOT. A recruiting fair involves drawing students or 'souvenir hunters'
to an expensive banquet room in a luxury hotel, at times creating a 'busy'
feeling. Having organized such fairs for a number of years and after listening to
our clients, we created the “unFAIR" concept which is far more penetrative
& targeted in terms of providing specific recruiting solutions. “unFAIR"
reverses the traditional recruiting fair and instead empowers the recruiters to
visit strategically selected high schools & junior colleges to interact and
engage directly with students, meet guidance counsellors and possibly parents of
students in a relaxed 'town hall style' environment to discuss career goals
& how to get there. unFAIR 2010 was a stunning success and we visited 17 high
schools in 5 days across key, education-centric cities in India. More...
Fall Asia Middle East (2007): This gruelling event took a lot out
of the delegates who rolled with the punches and although components of the tour
were optional, there were some die hard recruiters that traveled with us for the
entire tour and were exhausted by the end. The packed schedule covered 17 cities
in 7 different countries over 6 weeks, but it was rewarding for recruiters who picked
up tons of applications along the way in different cities and countries, many of
which must have graduated from North American Colleges and Universities by now.

Fall Asia Middle East (2006): Attended by thousands of students
over 3 weeks in India and UAE, this was a rough event conducted against the backdrop
of political uncertainty as well as US and Canadian Universities facing a decline
in enrolment figures, particularly from the Middle East. However, the recruiters
were rather effective and stayed the course and emerged with several applicants,
many of whom have already commenced their studies in North America. More...
Spring Asia Middle East (2006): Our 'smallest delegation'
to date, we experimented with strategic high school visits rather than highly publicized
(and expensive) fairs and the returns were actually rather encouraging. We met students
in their familiar environments within their high schools or colleges who were quite
forthcoming about their North American educational plans. We had follow-up sessions
with their parents in less formal surroundings in hotel lobbies and at town hall
styled information sessions and were able to actively engage interested students.
We received very positive feedback from students, parents and this event was equally
well received by recruiters too. More...
Fall Asia Middle East (2005): Our 'largest delegation'
to date visited several Indian education centers and some brave ones also took on
the Middle East. We had a very diverse group of seasoned recruiters and by the end
of the tour we were one big happy family. We saw over 3,000 students in India in
addition to over 1,000 in Dubai & Abu Dhabi. As absurd as it sounds, the larger
the group, the easier it became to manage and coordinate complex logistics for the
highly successful event. More...
India Spring Expo (2005): With the Rotary club assisting in logistical
coordination, this event was smooth and seamless in precision from an event management
perspective as well as from an Institutions perspective. Several top institutions
travelled with ICE and the results were not only encouraging, but also gratifying
that interest in studying in renowned North American Universities is stronger than
ever. More...
India Spring Expo (2004): For hundreds of Indian students attending
India Spring Expo was a career guide toward studying in the US and Canada. Organized
by ICE., the event was held on the May 1 & 2 at Holiday Inn, Juhu. University
representatives from US and Canada gathered for this two-day extravaganza and the
event hosted a stunning array of seminars in addition to various interactive discussions.
Prospective students were invited to come, get a firsthand look at the opportunities
available to them in the world of higher education abroad. More...
